A big smile:

What's that bright light flashing in my eyes?

There it is again!

Winning prizes for our performance in the Family Olympics:

Matthew loved this SO much.  He cried when it was over.

Eggertsen Family Reunion in the Monterey area

Can you tell Matthew was dancing in his PJs?

Matthew refused to walk on the sand.  I think this was Uncle Marc's solution to the problem:

One Month

Amelia has been here for a full month now.  Seems like its gone by fast in some ways, and, in others, it seems like an eternity.  Maybe its that naps go by fast and fits of crying last forever.  In any case, we're so glad she's here!

Our little girl is here!

Our baby girl arrived May 4 at 3:03am.  9 lbs. 6 oz.  We named her Amelia Jane.

Matthew loves being a big brother!

We blessed her on Mother's Day so my parents could be here for it.  Scott's mom made this beautiful dress for the occasion:

Love is all around

My mom told me she's sick of seeing those guys from Harry Potter (not quite in those words).  So here's my quick attempt to make my mom happy!  I think all these pictures are from February.

Celebrating the wonders of a new haircut:

Matthew is trying to steal the thunder from my baby bump picture.  He was successful.

Dinner on Valentine's Day

Here are some fun things Matthew has been saying lately:
  • How was your day, Captain Mommy? (He'll also call us Mrs Mommy or Mr Daddy)
  • Can I watch Church Music and the Spoken Words?
  • Can I play exercising? (aka Wii Fit)
  • I love you so much! or Thank you so much!
  • When we try to get around this stage of answering "NO" to everything by just giving him two choices, he'll say, "None of them"
  • Can I have some Tummy Yummies?  (Those are what they call dog treats on Clifford the Big Red Dog; I give him a bowl of pretzels)
  • Can I have past? (meaning let me on your lap!)
Oh, and he cried the other day when I left for seminary without him.  Life with him is so much fun!
